A beautiful Memorial Day weekend so far.........VERY HOT....95 degrees in Fargo....not sure what is was here at West McDonald Lake, near Dent, MN. I had some things I had to do at home this morning...........so I got here about 1pm this afternoon..... HOT HOT HOT..

Took the dogs for a pontoon ride....forgot to take my camera !....

Almost the weekend

It is almost the weekend......Memorial Day weekend. I will post again before the weekend gets here.......I am busy planting today..... trying to get things finished up !...

The other day I just HAD to order these Kaffe Fassett books. I love the "Pickle Dish" quilt on the cover !! Then I read the pattern.....and it is foundation piecing ! Guess I will need to learn how to do that !

Storm clouds from Monday........

A much better weather day than yesterday.....lots of thunderstorms and tornadoes in the area, but nothing right here ! We didn't even get a drop of rain. Not too far away...they had buckets of rain coming down ! Flooding in the fields and roads. Looks like the rest of the week will be good and good weather in the forecast for Memorial Day weekend. Have a great week.....and stay safe.

Another beautiful early summer day here in North Dakota.... This makes about 7 in a row !....I better be careful and not brag too much - they do have showers in the forecast by the weekend.

The Fargo Marathon is Saturday, the 22nd..... I wish everyone well ! I know several who are running.... hope the weather holds for them.

Waiting for the dirt truck.....remember the pile of dirt I had for the garden? Well, that is not enough dirt. The BIG truck is going to bring some more this afternoon.....and then we will have to wait again if it rains... but at least we will have the dirt!

Still have some flowers to plant and might have room for a few more.

Monday night was Redhawks baseball !...... it is really fun when you get to sit in the company suite....LOL. The stadium is so pretty !!! and it was a beautiful night for baseball.

Across town......at 8pm......Taylor was playing his first game....... so we headed across town to catch part of his game too.

Wow.......this is summer weather .... !! Could we order this for another 6 months.

I am heading out to the flowerbeds to dig in the dirt.

Another week ahead........

It looks like a great week ahead ! Warm - HOT weather. I just hope the bugs are not crazy- need to finish up some outside work.

My Grandsons had a great fishing weekend..... they sent me lots of pics. So I will share a couple of those with you today. This weekend was Minnesota opening fishing and it looks like it was a great time for all the fishermen - and women. I used to like to fish......seeing all those great fish makes me want to head out and see what I could catch.

Saturday........Sunny - beautiful Saturday !

Everyone around this area will be buzzing either at home....or off to the "lakes"...Minnesota fishing opened at midnight last night......and they have a beautiful day ! I don't know if the fish bite real good in the sunshine.......but after our rainy and cold days......Who Cares !!

Lots of yard work will be going one.....lot of cabin opening going on.......LOL.. Jeff headed off to the cabin...and I am staying home to try to catch up on some things.....

My new toy left without me !!....

Finally a day of "Sunshine" !!

My pretty pink tree........I only get to enjoy it for a few days a year.....then the wind blows and all the petals fall......

Oh Happy Day !! We have sun !! Seems like forever since we have had a sunny day. I had to get my poor plants out of the garage... they have been in the dark for a few days. It is still too muddy to plant today.....but I once again have hope of getting to work outside again.

Even the dogs are happy to have some sun !!

Another Day of Rain

We are having another day of rain......this just has to stop. I want to get my garden in before the mosquitoes are the size of blackbirds!

Yesterday I went to get the mail and there was a notice for a pkg - that is always exciting ! I could not think of any package I was waiting for ???.....

There was a big box at the Post Office and it was the cutest kitty made by a dear friend of mine in Oklahoma......we are Internet friends and I have never met her in person.

I really enjoy my Internet friends !! So fun to meet new people and build a friendship with them.

Well, it is not quite Wednesday......but guess I will get an early start... The weather man says better weather is coming.......hmmmmm but WHEN ??

Tuesday - seems I am behind

Wow, I don't know where those days went ! I will see if I can catch up...

Last Friday I went to my Grandsons's school play and their awards presentation.

Then Sunday was Mother's Day..... I went to lunch with my daughter at Ruby Tuesday's....we had a nice time and then went to buy some more flowers......to plant someday when the rain quits !

So today........ I am trying to get into "my list" of things that I need to do today ! And so far I am not doing too well......LOL Since last night we have gotten about an inch of rain....and I don't see it letting up any time soon. Grrrrr. I am tired of this rainy, cold weather.

I work much better with some sunshine !.....So let's see if I can get the pictures on here in the right order...

The first one is my Grandson at his program.... (mine is the boy with the LONG hair)...

Next is lunch on Mother's Day...

Nest is my recycle bins....sitting out in the rain.....waiting for the truck......( I know you wanted to see that !....LOL

**** Snow Alert****

Can't believe that we are going to get snow - NOW ???........The flowers are growing so good..we are a month ahead of normal.....guess that is what we get for bragging. The central and southwest part of the state could get up to 10 inches (I am on the eastern edge)...it won't stay long....but it will certainly freeze all the plants and flowers !! So.....I went and took some pictures of my "flowers" - that will probably be all I get......Booo Hoooooo.... Makes me sad !
So.....I had to turn the furnace back on...and I am doing "inside things".

I am going to make myself some "KIMA" for supper.....Yummers !!! .....Has anyone eaten that ?...it is a curry dish..... Does anybody like curry ?? This is the only dish I have eaten it in.

So.......I better get busy on my "inside projects".

Rainy Wednesday

It's a rainy, windy, cold Wednesday. Where did our warm spring weather go ??..... I heard the weather man talk about "winter storm watch".....that is crazy !! My bleeding heart is blooming....but I think it got a little frost bite the other night. I did get most of my flowers planted and was hoping to plant some more.......but guess it will wait awhile. .........after all it is still early in May and we ARE in North Dakota.

Off to run errands today......Brrrrrr - I am out of dog food and THAT is an emergency when you have those 2 large hungry beasts waiting for their supper. Might as well pick up some cat food too !

Then - maybe - I can sneak into my sewing room this afternoon.....and do a little sewing !

I am sure by now you are tired of looking at dogs and cats every day !

It was a busy weekend

Jeff's graduation - Taylor's 14th birthday - Cayden's hockey games......

Saturday morning we drove to Bismarck, ND for graduation....our friends went along for the ceremonies. It was very nice and it was a proud moment to see my husband receive his Master of Science in Strategic Leadership. Jeff worked long and hard for this and it is a great accomplishment for anyone who is busy working and living and going to school too !! There was over 900 graduates that day and they all worked hard and long to achieve their diplomas !

We didn't make it back to Fargo for the hockey game......but Cayden got a goal and an assist !.....So it was a good day for him too !!

It was Taylor's 14th birthday also on Saturday.....he wanted to wait for us to get home so we could all go to supper together.....Red Lobster is his favorite place !....So we had a nice dinner and it was a GOOD day.......long, but GOOD.

And now it is Monday..........and time to get busy !
