Late night Friday....

Tonight we had dinner at Mexican Village. It was to celebrate my husband, Jeff's graduation. We head to Bismarck tomorrow for the graduation. He will be receiving his master's in Strategic Leadership. I am so very proud of him for working for this.....he is a busy guy with work, home, watching the grandson's in their activities and many other things that keep him busy.
A co-worker stopped by while we were having dinner and gave him a beautiful engraved keychain. Then after dinner we hurried across town to get to Cayden's hockey game... That game ended in a tie. And he plays two games tomorrow.....
So with graduation and hockey......and the oldest Grandson's birthday also tomorrow.....this is a busy weekend !
Good think I remembered to press up the graduation gown....so tacky to wear a wrinkled gown!

Rainy Thursday

Well, it is raining.... guess we need it. But I sure don't like the muddy dog feet that go along with it. I did get most of my flowerbeds done and they need some rain. So now they are going to grow like crazy !

I have some new pics on the camera......just have to get them on here. I am trying to get caught up reading all the blogs I read.... I think I need to weed out a few.

And maybe I will do some sewing.....so I have something beside dog and cat pictures to post.

Monday April 26th

A fairly nice day.. the weatherman says tomorrow will be really nice. Time to plant those flowers I bought. Things are growing so fast this spring !......really nice, BUT.....the flowers will be done blooming really early....then what ! I need to find some flowers that keep blooming !

The dogs just love being outside - they hardly want to come in to eat. Well, now they both trying to tell me something.......so I guess I better figure out what that is.

.......it is hard to type with my arm flying up in the air do to large noses!

Earth Day 2010

I just can't believe that is was 40 years ago today that they proclaimed "Earth Day". I remember thinking that was just so cool.....to recycle and reuse items and to be friendly to the earth.... We "recycled" in our family when I was a very young child.... my Grandmother was very good to reuse and save things.......or maybe it was just that she never threw anything away. But I do know that we did reuse many of those things that others threw away.......so I am good with it.

What do you do to "be green".....??.......Do you recycle ??.....it is so easy I hope that everyone makes it a priority to recycle and reuse and be kind to our earth....Think about all the abuse that man has done to our earth....and if we hope to have a green and healthy earth for our grandchildren to grow up in we better ALL get serious about taking care of this earth and not abuse all it has to offer.

Again my motto is.......: "Use it up, wear it out, make it do.........or do without."

Another beautiful day !

Yesterday was just beautiful ! And I even got some yard work done. Today is going to be great too!...and so I want to try to get some more stuff done outside. My flowers are coming up, but I need to water and weed and plant some to fill the blank spots.

I didn't see the space shuttle this morning as it passed over Fargo,ND - the TV said that some people did see it....oh well, I tried.

Well.....now my pictures are in the wrong order - Hmmmm will have to work on that. Anyway, just got a "bit" of fabric while I was in Bismarck - and my GF and I started on a "Zig Zag" quilt...just to see how we liked it !....LOL

So...not must of interest to report....guess I will get busy.

From beautiful Bismarck ND

I am in Bismarck, ND for a few days attending the American Massage Therapy Assoc. convention for our state chapter. It will be 3 days of classes to earn my CEU 's for the coming year. But first....we go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast .... and a day at the quilt shops! Have to do the important things first ! I will have to take some pictures and post too...

The Garden Spot

ok.....here is the spot. This is where we are going to put our garden....my neighbor is going to work with me on this project......LOTS of work has to be done in the next couple weeks.....so we can get ready to plant.
And I am going to be in such good shape!.....LOL......I was raking this morning....and in 15 minutes I had a blister on my hand....WITH gloves on... my "pecs" felt like they got a 2 hour workout......oh boy...this is going to be tough. BUT I have a vision !.......and this little garden will be a place of beauty.... I have lots of things - besides - vegetables that will be going in there.
Flowers....we need FLOWERS !!!..... I have lots of iris that can go here too. So....with that I better go out and work in my front flower beds......and maybe rake some more later!....

Nothing much exciting today. Off to run some errands.... Hoping for a more productive day tomorrow....

Sunny Wednesday

It is blue-sky sunny day !....Temps a bit cool yet this morning, but looks to be a nice day coming.

I just want to share with you this little duster thing I found. It takes the cat hair and dust from my computer screen and keyboard. I use it every time I open my computer ~! I think it was only $1.99 and I found it in the laundry aisle at Wal-Mart. Please let me know if any of you have tried this little guy !

I think I will go to knitting group today....see what they are up to and maybe get inspired to knit some !....I have a couple projects I can take along to work in.......no shortage of UFO's in the knitting either...LOL

Things are growing

My little iris are peeking up through the ground.....and the rhubarb is coming up too..... So it is time to get out there and clean up the flower beds. I suppose I should rake the yard too. Not my favorite thing to do. I do like to cut the grass tho.....that is much better than raking.

The days are longer and the temperatures are getting warmer....so I think it is safe to say spring is here !

Did a little sewing tonight.....I am making a little wall quilt for my grandson to put his bowling patches on. I hope to finish it soon and then I will post a picture.

Happy Easter !

Well, here is my dinner !....... Time to get cooking - the Grandsons will be here soon ! Nothing fancy for dinner....have to make some deviled eggs. We have a nice day going here in ND.....sunny and 62 ~~ !! Ahhhhhh that is a good spring day !

Today is a sunny spring day here in North Dakota. The day before Easter.... alot to reflect on this time of year.

Family will be here tomorrow for dinner.....hope my dinner turns out!

Time to get busy and get things ready!

And just maybe if I get it all done.....there will be time for sewing this evening.

Happy April Fool's Day.......

I don't have any "fools" to play on anyone......when I was a kid I used to put sugar in the salt shaker . That didn't go over too big.....!

These are swans I saw yesterday just west of town...they are sitting on a flooded road and in the water.....this was just a couple groups of them...there were hundreds of them......They were busy talking and bobbing in the "pretty blue" water... it looks pretty, except when you think that is farmland and roads that we need.

Any special plans for Easter ?..... I am going to make dinner for my family and hope they can all make it....all 5 of us.....LOL.... Guess I will make ham, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes and deviled eggs !..... I will have to make my grocery list today..

We are also invited out for Easter Breakfast .....that has become a tradition and we look forward to spending the morning with our friends and their family.
