Going to be a HOT one today !!

Just a quick "Hello".......... we are under a heat advisory today.....I know , that is kind of funny if you live in a HOT area......but we are not used to 95 degree temps....although it is great for lake weather !!
Just don't have time to write anything today.............. So.......stay cool where ever you are.

Our Anniversary

Today is our 27th wedding anniversary......seems like just yesterday ! I remember it was hot and there was mosquitoes outside when they were taking pictures.

We have had 27 wonderful years and I hope for 27 more.

Off to work today. It is still raining. Please say a prayer for all those who are battling flood waters in Minot, Bismarck/Mandan and all the surrounding areas. Many people are evacuating their homes......I just can't imagine.

Almost the middle of June.................

I went out and picked some iris this morning........they are almost done blooming. I wish they bloomed more than just once..........I just love iris.

I have about 4 different ones.....would love to have more, but just not enough room to plant them all.

Look what I found in my sewing room closet !!!.........Now how did those get in there !!!..... If I take them out I will have room for another stack of fabric !!!

Got busy and cleaned off my sewing table.....

And my couch............NOW I can start sewing again and have a clean place to mess up !

It is a beautiful day out........they say maybe some rain today and heavy rain tomorrow. Guess I should try and cut the grass too !!...

I am just so sad.......my little house finch....the male......comes and sits on the porch rail and calls and calls......his little wife seems to be gone......he has been calling for many days. I looked in the basket and there is a nest in there with 2 little birds......but they didn't seem to be moving....so I am thinking they have died...... I feel so bad for him out there calling and calling.....this is the pair of house finches that have come back for many years and built their nest in my hanging baskets. I just wonder what happened to the little lady finch. Maybe he can meet a nice little girl finch again.

Guess I better get back to work again........the day is going by way too fast ! I hope you are all having a good day !!!

PS.....my neighbor planted "our" garden and you should see how cute it is !!! I will be taking pics of that too and sharing with you. I have been so busy that I have not done any work in the garden.....but I do water it in the mornings. I hope that will get me a few beans and tomatoes from the garden. !!

Thursday

Last weekend at the lake......... Things were pretty quiet

Rollie had to go for a swim..........brrrrrr the water was cold !

But he was satisfied that he got to swim !

Most of the weekend was nice.....little cool.....but not bad. Monday night we had storms here at home.....lots of tree damage and some roofs and things were damaged....All was fine in our yard.

Yesterday was nice weather !!! Today is windy again and possible storms later tonight....

I have a million things to do today !!! So......just wanted to say Hello !!
