this is a HUGE lake....HUGE ! It almost looks like the ocean....the waves were rolling in on the beach....not from the wind....just the motion of the HUGE lake......LOL. The trees you see are an island.

Our lakes where we go are not this large.
This is the view driving over there ...........all trees !!!! Me, from the flat open prairie almost gets claustrophobic driving through the trees...but it was a beautiful day..and everything is so green and pretty
It was a nice day......and I found a quilt shop in Grand Rapids, MN .....right across the street from where we were.....Got some of the "Quilt Minnesota" fabric made by Moda.

Goodness that is a big lake!! After living here for the last 11 years I long for the open prairies after going home to Seattle for a couple of weeks. My eyes are used to seeing 10 miles ahead of me :0)
