And I thought June went by fast ?   Unreal how fast this month went.  I really want time to slow down..... I can't keep up.  Remember that saying "The faster I go, the behinder I get."  How true.

I went to a visitation today to say good-bye to a long time family friend.  Ruth celebrated her 100th birthday last February.  I had known this lady all my life.  I remember her coming to visit my grandmother, they would visit and have a little lunch and coffee.  I even remember her mother. (I really am not that old, I just have a good memory of things that took place 50 plus years ago.)
I remember going to her apartment a few years ago... I went to see a quilt that she had pieced the Dresden plates many years before.. And she was working on sewing them onto blocks it to get it finished... She didn't know it at the time, but her daughter-in-law was going to quilt it and surprise her with it at a birthday party.
That quilt was there today and the story about that quilt -it was 40 years in the making- was written in her hand writing telling the story of that quilt.
In recent years I have come to know her daughter, and 2 of her daughter-in-laws. I see them from time to time because 2 of them are quilters.... amazing how quilting weaves it's way into our lives and into our memories.

How did it get to be JUNE already ???  I am not even ready for spring !  Time goes too fast.
Last night I quilted this little quilt.....table topper or wall quilt, or whatever you would like it to be.....I love these little things.
Some days I like BIG pieces.....some days I like LITTLE pieces. 


Cloudy and humid here today.......going to be 81 they say.  Our weather is all mixed up.....didn't really have spring.....went from cold to HOT.  And the poor plants and flowers are all confused.  The flowering crab didn't bloom well this year.....so.....I am hoping Photo: A little quilting to do ths evening.

I did get most of the flower beds cleaned out......well, sort of, but it was too cold and wet to move around some iris....and now they are about to bloom.  They just grew overnight.


So.......lots I need to work on today.......so I better get busy !!

Can't post pictures

Happy May.............well, it is over half gone already.


I finally have some pictures to post, and something is going on with my computer and it will not let me post the pictures........so........I am going to have to get some help with that.


Hope you are all getting nice weather...........we get a nice day.............then it turns cold again.
Sunday was beautiful !!  ........I should have been outside working, but I had a couple projects that I needed to finish......and then it rained Sunday night.  So.......now I have to wait till the flowerbeds dry up again.
One of these days............


I will try to get this thing fixed so I can share some pictures.

I did a post the other day.......thought I got it on the blog.......but it doesn't seem to be there.


So.........Just a quick HELLO till I have time to sit and write something and maybe take a picture or two.

Spring ? ........... Really ?

Well, the calendar says it should be SPRING .......but it is really slow in coming.
We had a couple really nice days......and tonight they are talking snow - and tomorrow they say we could have "challenging driving conditions".   So....we will see what tomorrow brings.


I don't know where the time goes......but I do know it goes too fast. 
I have been busy working and trying to keep up..... Jeff is enjoying his new career.....it keeps him very busy and very irregular hours...but that is OK..... it is what it is.


I should be taking some pictures to share here........I will try to do better at that.


I was reading through some of the blogs that I follow....seems they are all behind too. 


Maybe we are all just slow to get going again after the long cold winter.


I better keep moving and try to get a little more done before I head to work for the day.

Even though it has been a long cold winter.......can't believe it is March already !
Still snow and icy out.....but one of these days - it will melt !...
